Kevin & Julie McKenzie
Missionaries to Honduras
In July 2008 Julie and Kevin McKenzie answered God's call to serve full time in Honduras; originally called to serve as sub-directors at the Good Shepherd Children's Home (GSCH), after serving there for three years God began to change direction for them.
Since 2012 they developed Daughters of the King transition home, next door to their house for young ladies who were former residents of GSCH. They help them finish their education, attend college, or learn and develop a trade, skill or find employment. Kevin has developed Badge of Faith police ministry which serves to provide practical excellent police training free of cost, used and new donated police equipment, renovation / refurbishment of police posts all the while evangelizing to the 13,000 member Honduran National police force. Kevin also actively serves as a liaison or contact person for helping couples understand and complete the requirements for them to successfully adopt orphan children/youth from GSCH. Their oldest daughter Jeimy Sofia was adopted into their family in 2011.
Julie handles all correspondence for child sponsorship and gift acknowledgement for GSCH as well as teaching at the on-site school. The McKenzie's also conduct weekly Bible classes/clubs in rural public schools in the Zamorano Valley and host teams who minister at GSCH. Their children are Jeimy, Garrett, Molly Ruth, and Sophie.
The McKenzie's are from Olive Branch, Mississippi
