Join Us in Praying ~

Dear Co-laborers in Christ,

We want to share with you what God is doing in our lives. For the past few years, God has placed a “stirring” in our hearts. We had no idea what He was doing or even why, but we knew it was something. Until He had given us a clear direction for at least our first few steps that it would take to follow His call, we did not want to make any major changes. Therefore, we began to pray specifically about this stirring that we were both feeling. We tried to keep our eyes opened wide and our ears tuned in to hear His still, small voice.

As time passed, the only thing that was clear, was that our time in Honduras was coming to a close. It was hard to accept because Honduras has become our home and our comfort zone over the last nine years. As a matter of fact, we even argued a little with Him saying, “Why now God? Things are going so well in Honduras, and we have such a fabulous group of missionaries to work and serve with.” But, He gently reminded us that this is exactly how we felt when He asked us to leave the States, our home, and our family and friends. We didn’t know what He was doing nine years ago, we just knew He said, “Go,” so we went, and He was and has been faithful every single day.

Now, we believe He is telling us to,  “Go” again. What this looks like, we do not know. Therefore, we have decided to return to the States and take our normal fall furlough time to seek Him and pray fervently that He would give us clear direction as to what our next steps need to be. We have not resigned from BMDMI, just as “field director” of Honduras. (Effective January 2017)

Please take this opportunity to pray with us. We need your prayers now more than ever. Even though this time is a bit scary for us (the fear of the unknown)  it is also an exciting time to watch God move, work, and weave His godly web of people, places and timing together to bring glory, honor and praise to His Holy name. We would appreciate your continued prayers and support through these next few months if you feel led to do so. We will keep you updated, and will hopefully have some decisions made by January 1, 2017.  Please know how much we love you all and appreciate your faithfulness. You bless us more than you will ever know.

Love in Christ, our only Hope,

Mike & Marty
