As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, gifts to BMDMI are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
As with most non-profit organizations, a small percentage of your donation is used to support our ministry infrastructure. At BMDMI, we use 10% of your donation to help cover the costs of receiving your donation, accounting for it properly, producing statements for your tax returns, etc. This percentage is well below the national average.
Per IRS regulations, and in order for your donation to qualify as charitable tax deduction, the disbursement of all funds donated to BMDMI is under the sole discretion of the leadership of BMDMI. If you stipulate that your donation be used only for a specific ministry program or missionary endeavor, we will use your donation as you request provided that the specific purpose clearly falls within BMDMI’s scope of ministry and mission statement. If you express a preference for how you would like your donation to be used and it falls within BMDMI’s scope of ministry and mission statement, we will use your donation in the area of your preference unless there is a greater need in another area of our ministry.
Yes. As with the Mission itself, all BMDMI missionaries must raise their support.
We pray the Lord is calling more missionaries to serve through BMDMI! The application process can take up to a year or more. Once final approval is given by the Board of Trustees, candidates attend orientation and begin fundraising. Once funded, arrangements are made for language training and assignment to a field of service. For more information about serving as a missionary through BMDMI, contact Jim Griffin, email@example.com.
We have been working in Honduras since 1974, in Nicaragua since 1989, and Guatemala since 2014.
We welcome the opportunity to expand into other countries as the Lord provides the financial resources and new missionaries.
