Kenneth and Kirsten Nelson are from Dothan, Alabama. They have three children: Connor-19, Kayleigh-16, and Cade-12.  The Nelsons had previously served as missionaries in Costa Rica and Ecuador with the International Mission Board.
Kenneth helps oversee the ministries of the Thomas Herrington Bible Institute.  His primary responsibilities include academics and operations.  Kenneth also leads village teams for BMDMI. 
Kirsten serves as an anesthetist and homeschools their three children. She also teaches life skills classes at the Good Shepherd Christian Academy and the Thomas Herrington Bible Institute and leads weekly Bible studies for the youth and the Honduran female staff at the Good Shepherd Children's Home where they currently reside.
