Description of Position
The director of the Emmanuel Home of Protection oversees the operations and functioning of the Home to ensure the safety and protection of the children in residence while ensuring their physical, spiritual, educational and psychological needs are met.

Responsibilities
Work with national staff to ensure that the needs of each young lady are being met.
Develop strategies to prepare the residents for success within their cultural setting.
Work with national staff and BMDMI adminstration to establish a reasonable budget and ensure that expenses stay within that budget.
Communicate regularly with donors and sponsors of the girls in residence.
Organize and plan activities for short-term mission teams that visit the facilities regularly.
Oversee maintenance and construction projects as needed.
Submit regular reports of progress to field director and BMDMI administration
Additional Requirements
Ability to speak Spanish is necessary. Candidates should either possess this ability upon starting or be willing to complete formal language learning at the time of arrival in country. Training or experience in caring for children who have experienced trauma is vital.
