Missionaries to GSCA
Description of Position
Join our international team in Honduras that provides a Christian, bilingual education to vulnerable children in a rural community. The Good Shepherd Christian Academy (GSCA) is
situated on 60+ acres in the beautiful mountains of Zamorano, a city to the east of the Honduran capital of Tegucigalpa.
We are dedicated to providing a quality education to the children of the Good Shepherd Children's Home and the surrounding community. A bilingual education gives these students additional
skills to be able to succeed in the difficult life that most Hondurans face. At GSCA, we believe that education is the best long-term solution for overcoming poverty.
This position is a full-time missionary calling, which will be 100% support-raised. It will come with many challenges but many more rewards. With support from the missionary field
director, our USA-based organizational office, and GSCA support team, you will not be alone when you step onto the mission field. Yes, you will need to embrace difficult situations and be able to overcome the
obstacles of living, working, and serving abroad; but with God and the support of others, all things are possible. This is an opportunity for you to use your God-given abilities and skills to reach children and
their families with the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through GSCA.
Applicants must be gifted and experienced in some of the following:
Servanthood Leadership
Business Management
Organizational Skills
Communication Skills
Non-Profit Fundraising / Ministry Fundraising
Finances / Budgeting / Accounting
Hosting Mission Teams / International Mission Trip Travel
Elementary or Secondary Education Experience (Optional but beneficial)
Orphan Care / Child Counseling / Child Trauma (Optional but beneficial)
Proficient in Spanish (Optional: The school is bilingual so most things are done in English. Spanish helps with community interactions)
Applicants should be able to delegate and work in a team environment with a passion for serving children. Applicants should be currently thriving in a healthy, spiritual community.
