Global Orphan Care Missionaries - GSCH
Description of Position
Join our team which serves orphaned and vulnerable children ages 1-18 who live in our multifaceted residential care facility. The Good Shepherd Children’s Home is situated on 60+ acres in the
beautiful mountains of Zamorano, a city to the south of the Honduran capital Tegucigalpa.
We are dedicated to the development of our children’s present and future wellbeing through the effort of our team, which includes caregivers, counselors, social workers, teachers, kitchen staff,
guards, drivers and fellow missionaries.
Using your personal areas of giftedness you will work closely with the local Honduran staff to add value to the daily care, training, and growth of our children in important life skills and in their
understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This position is a full-time missionary calling, which will be 100% support-raised. It will come with many challenges. With support from the missionary field director, our USA-based
organizational office, and the project-based GSCH Task Force, you will need to embrace difficult situations and be able to overcome the obstacles of living, working, and serving abroad.
Applicants must be gifted and experienced in some of the following:
Orphan Care / Child Counseling / Child Trauma
Proficient in Spanish
Non-Profit Fundraising / Ministry Fundraising
Communication Skills
Hosting Mission Teams / International Mission Trip Travel
Organizational Skills
Finances / Budgeting / Accounting
Servanthood Leadership
Applicants should be able to delegate and work in a team environment with a passion for serving children. Applicants should be currently thriving in a healthy, spiritual community.
